Louis P. Aloe was a manufacturer of optical goods; president of A.S. Aloe Co., opticians; president of the National Association of Surgical and Optical Dealers. He was also a civic leader who served as president of the Board of Aldermen from 1916-1923; he was involved in many civic improvement projects and the drafting of the city charter in 1914.
